All we need to do is trust. Even when things seem a little far out, just breathe and trust and try, and you will see. Try not to be judgemental towards yourself. Just trust and it will come.
This is something I endeavour to do every day since first becoming pals with yoga around 10 years ago. After years of feeling there must be more to life; suffering with bouts of depression and anxiety, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, digestive problems, kidney disease and generally feeling rubbish, I had a breakdown…or breakthrough! Determined not to be on prescription medications I sought out natural ways to heal, including yoga, meditation, nutrition, polarity therapy and reducing physical and mental toxicity from my life. 10 years on and my life has changed dramatically since the first time I stepped onto that borrowed mat feeling exposed and self-conscious. Yoga and I, we’ve had our up’s and downs like any other relationship, but we will never leave each other. |
Some days I still struggle to get on my mat, but I’ve learned not to judge this, not to judge myself as good or bad, it’s just as it is. Self-awareness and self-acceptance are both my biggest vices and greatest lessons, but had I not got on that borrowed mat that day I know I’d still be fully immersed in the darkness, whereas now I can see the light through the darkness and know it is always there to guide me.
Now a qualified 200h Sivananda Yoga Teacher and current student of IWA Kundalini Tantra Yoga TTC I’d love to share my knowledge with you. Classes offer a relaxed approach to help cleanse and clear the flow of energy through the body, so the elements of life can flow freely, bringing balance and harmony within.
Classes are influenced by my experience of Sivananda & Bihar’s classical teachings, polarity yoga therapy and Kundalini Tantra’s depth of awareness from within, to bring an integrative approach to teaching.
I will be offering integral yoga classes including pranayama, asana and relaxation.
